Small screen for linux use?
#1
Does someone make a small screen for the RockPro94 that is linux capable without any major tinkering or tech wizardry? (My linux skills can be described as fairly basic at best, and rusty at that)

I'd love to be able to mount a small screen directly on the NAS enclosure if i do end up pulling the trigger on it in future, both to save me having to plug an external monitor into it, and for nearpointless coolness factor.

I'm personally trying out the Mipi-dsi interface for the first time by buying a random high resolution lcd panel kit off of Amazon, I can report back how it works once all of the parts to my kit have arrived and I've got Ubuntu up and running.

I purchased a 10" LPS LCD from Amazon that's for the Lattepanda, it boasts a resolution of 1200x1920, I used the included ribbon cable to attach to the 30 DSI connector and booted the version 0.7.8 Linux from Ayufan, and it only displays from the HDMI port, nothing from the DSI port...
Oh wait I just saw in the hardware forum for the RockPro64 that only the stock Android release for the rockpro supports the pine64 7", which has a low resolution, 1024x600, so I'm not interested in it...
I probably should try the Android release and see what happens, but so far that's just a initial release for Android and there is no Play Store support so I won't be in a hurry to flash it to my eMMC,
and besides I bought this thing to run Linux off of, hopefully they add support for DSI and eDP connections in upcoming Linux releases.
