Keyboard & 2.4G usb dongle for the Pinephone?
#1
The following video shows that an usb keyboard and mouse work in the shown configuration:

But small usb keyboards for mobile use are hard to find. I only found one from Poland from which I do not know if it is still avaiable.

A device which is also known to have issues with Bluetooth peripherials is the Orange Pi 5.

Crosstalk solution shows a kit especially for the Orange Pi 5. on YouTube:

It shows a wireless dual mode Bluetooth Rii (Upgrade) i4 Mini Bluetooth Keyboard with Touchpad, Blacklit Portable Wireless Keyboard with 2.4G USB Dongle for Smartphones, PC, Table:

Should a keyboard with a 2.4G USB dongle which is included with the mini keyboard not work as a USB keyboard?

Posters in the Armbian forum write that 2.3 Ghz usb dongle work with the Orange Pi 5:

The Orange Pi 5 is tricky with Bluetooth peripherals as the Pinephone. Did you manage to get a 2.3 Ghz usb dongle keyboard tow workd with the Pinephone?

This is really the only keyboard I am currently positive about with the Pinephone and I think it is worth testing it:

ArmBoy1988 worte in the armbian forum:

on 12. Sept. 2023

"I'm using a Logitech k400r, I think.  It comes with its own usb dongle, is wireless and has a built-in trackpad. Works great.  Not sure if it's still available or other Logitech keyboards work with it."

This is with the Orange Pi5. Other posters in the armbain forum where also positive about it.

The the situation with the Pinephone should be similar. With Bluetooth periferals we have issues with Bluetooth drivers. For keyboard and mice there are often drivers offered, which seem not to be availble for the Pinephone.

But this devices with their own 2.4 Ghz bluetooth dongle need eventually not driver, and could be an explanation why they work on devices without Bluetooth drivers for keyboards, where the Bluetooth keyboards do not work.

Where you able to get a stable connection on your Pinephone with a keyboard with a 2,4 G USB-Dongle?
