To temporarily clear-up the call volume issue while using Arch Posh: unplug anything you may have plugged into the USB port, reboot the phone, then feel free to plug back in whatever you had in the USB. For whatever reason, the call volume issue will persist through a reboot if anything is plugged into the USB port.

I've seen people asking about this a lot on redit, but the solutions often proposed are either wrong or too cryptic for the op to make sense of. I don't have a redit account (or internet access, for that matter), so I can't post this ham-handed solution there. Maybe someone here will read this and convey it there.

This fix is neither permanent nor convenient. But at least it works consistently. It may work for OSs other than Arch as well. I wouldn't know though. Good luck.
