Where is the fix for CVE-2021-31698 (Code execution as root via AT commands)?

The Quectel EG25-G modem beeing used in the PinePhone has a lousy firmware which contains a very serious bug (see https://nns.ee/blog/2021/04/03/modem-rce.html for further details). When will the security flaw be fixed?
