PINEBOOK Pro USB-C Docking Deck compatibility

Hello people, just saw on twitter the new PINEBOOK Pro USB-C Docking Deck.
I have 2 question though:

1. Does this USB-C dock work with any USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port say MSi notebook?
   
2. In my consideration the cable is too short. Some notebooks have the USB-C on the back of the computer so you need at least half a meter to put the dock properly on the side, otherwise you have to buy an extension.

Right from your link, "The Docking Deck can only function with the PINEBOOK Pro Laptop".

Any other use is at your own means. Buy an extension if you need one. Else buy the dock you want.
