He's alive and well, but totally swamped in work and simply hasn't had time to work on the project since before summer. He sends his regards, and we had a chat about the pine board. He showed great interest for the gentoo image and builds, as he said the chromiumos base is mainly gentoo. I sent him Xalius' contact info so they can chat about it. He's also very interested in getting Vulkan accelleration on the A64, so I assume we will see a lot more to him once he has time to spare for diving back into the dev sea. :-)
Thanks on approaching Tohipfortheroom and glad to know he is well and busy.
I sorry for going MIA on you guys
2016, well was not one of my best years, i had a string of health problems all the way from April till just recently in December, personal problems and of course 70 hour weeks at work.
this year i hope to spend more time on projects, i think the pine platform is going to be a wonder place to keep developing for, TV64 and Chromium OS are going to be my key area of focus this year. i got very close to releasing a alpha of the Chromium, however i have no luck, its basically been like hateful eight, but instead of bullets and death, its been errors and crashes, i would like get it working hopefully in the first part of this year, fingers crossed. TV64 is going to be something i can work on sooner, i like working on things i see useful, media and browsing are both area's i want to work on. keep in mind, i have to use a personal server and these suck because they are not that fast. So with that in mind, i am still working towards the same goal, crawling at the moment, should be running pretty soon. Alpha maybe July 4th?
so that's a quick update, it mean't a lot to me that you guys noticed and cared, i felt like i did a lot of good in the raspberry pi community, they never cared if i the personal was doing good, they only cared if tohipfortheroom had published more free software, well software isn't free it cost time, time is money, memories and energy. i have a little bitterness that they just kept expecting more, and didn't care when i obliviously had more going on. that is enough ranting. what I'm trying to say is that I care about a community that cares about me, i want to give back the best i can, so with that in mind i would just like to thank you all.
