Or is IP TV streaming the only option? Or possibly x11 tunnel.
Is there any way to get a video output from a cluster module?

A remote desktop should work, see for example http://xrdp.org/
But why? Seems useless for the this specific hardware. (06-12-2020, 01:47 PM)poVoq Wrote: A remote desktop should work, see for example http://xrdp.org/ Useless? Depends! If I want to have an ARM desktop computer, what are the choices? It's either multiple RockPro64, or the cluster, or both. So I have to spread out the applications somehow. Question is what's the best way to do it? Also I'm secretly hoping modular computing is the future. I also got tip of Beowulf cluster.

This will not work as you seem to think... there is currently no way to combine the 7 boards to one "desktop" computer.
Better get a Odroid-N2 or such with is quite fast on it's own.

Obviously that depends on how possible it is to split up your tasks. If I'm doing web development, I can put the server on the board instead of my "main" SoC. Maybe some programs have high CPU time but less interactivity, in which cases tunneling could be worth it. And so on. |
