Hello,
Im new to all of this.
I have visited pine.org in the aim to
purchase a pinephone (and maybe)
a pine laptop. I wrote twice to sales
to get some information, never got an
answer. i consulted pine.org reviews
which confirmed that i was right about
to try and contact them beforehand.
All i found was complains.
Can some explain what's the problem
here ?

KOReader - ebook reader |

So I'm not sure if this is exactly what this forum was intended for. But it says "Software" so here's something interesting I found:
KOReader (github) is a FOSS document reader intended for E-Ink devices, but also supporting color documents on color devices. It seems pretty snappy on the #Pinetab2. Reading is the main thing I use devices of this size for, and I've been frustrated with the UI (especially for touch!) of evince/okular. KOReader seems to hold some real promise!
I installed with `flatpak install rocks.koreader.KOReader`.
(I had to run it twice because my ancient wifi dongle seems a little flaky.)
Happy reading!

Bluetooth Alternative? |

My son has a sealed PineTime watch with PineTime version 1.5 software installed. He wants to upgrade the software, but we can no longer connect to the watch with Siglo. I suspect that the bluetooth is no longer working.
So I can connect to another PineTime watch on the same computer, but not this watch. I don't believe there is any other way to connect, for example using the USB charge adapter to connect to the laptop USB port doesn't seem to be a viable way to communicate with the watch.
If the bluetooth stops working, is there any practical way to save this watch? It is set to 1970, and my son has installed a version of the software (1.5) that doesn't appear to support updating the time.
He has autism and is love with the PineTime watch. He spends endless hours upgrading and downgrading the software on it, because he wants to experience every version number. I guess the watch has been loved to death.
Any advice is apprciated.

Figuring out a NAS setup around a Quartz64A |

Hello,
For the past few weeks, I've been trying to theorise a setup for a NAS around a Quartz64 A SBC, and would like to get some feedback!
I'd like to run a 2×4TB hard drive configuration (with data replication), mostly for a Nextcloud home server.
I'm thinking of getting the PCIe to SATA III card, and powering the drives directly from the board with the power cable for dual SATA drives. To have enough power for all this, I'd use the 12v5a power supply.
I was somewhat inspired by this blog post and would like to know if anyone has done anything similar…? I went for another setup for powering the drives, suggested on the Quartz64 matrix channel, because I don't have a PC power supply laying around, so that set up would be a lot more expensive for me.
I'm not yet sure if I'd go with the 4 or 8 GB model for the Quartz64, so I'd appreciate feedback on that too, if you have a Nextcloud server!
Thanks to anyone for their help or input! I haven't bought anything yet, so I'm open to any suggestion on how to improve this setup
PS: I am from the EU; does anyone know how import stuff works? I've never ordered anything from overseas, is there a way I can figure out an estimate of how much import duties I'll have to pay?
