Any advantages to using the mainline kernel
#1
I have installed the latest ayufuan bionic image with 4.4 kernel on a Rock64

Was thinking of switching to mainline kernel instead of 4.4 which I use on some other sbc's

https://github.com/ayufan-rock64/linux-b...upgrade.md

In particular I need to support interrupts, pullup/down and epoll.

What if any advantages are there to moving to the mainline kernel??  Especially with regards the gpio buses, DTOs and such.
