Anyone else having a similar issue or know a workaround? I am running Linux Mint on my computer for what it's worth.

What works, what doesn't?

So they know it dosen't work, I hope they will fix this cause I got the same problem
Thank you for that list! The reason I was wanting to plug it in and transfer the music/podcasts was because the wifi can be so buggy, as noted. Though luckily I've been having some good luck with it today so I've been able to get some podcasts for my commute. I am super excited for the next couple months as this phone hopefully develops into a daily driver. Do you happen to notice any other way to get music on the phone other than external transfer?
