[question] How does the step counter log data?
#2
I think InfiniTime is currently using the accelerometer's built in step count reporting, updating a total number of steps and a resettable 'trip counter' which probably isn't quite what you're after. There is an open issue for Bluetooth PAMP/PAMS (Physical Activity Monitoring Profile / Service) support which would allow an external device that supports the standard (phone app etc.) to log in more detail. That may address your needs but I don't see any activity yet on adding it.
