Good to see the 31k goal  Big Grin ordered the 2GB one

I wonder which expansion chip can we purchase with bluetooth + wifi, and what is the name of its port?

thanks in advance

I second this. Is the port a standard?

Thanks.

The first Wifi+BT plug-in board is Realtelk RTL8723 module that commonly used in tablet, and we just design a small adapter to host this module to Pine64 board. The connection is SDIO for Wifi and UART for BT. In future, we plan to roll out dual band version and high power version.

Thanks on your pledge and help us reach the goal. The current one is Realtek RTL8723BS and we just name Wifi/BT port which consists of SDIO and UART signals. We will release the port connection diagram in one week time.

Thanks! I think you guys are well aware that you have potential to beat Raspberry Pi and CHIP

I am using RP 2 B because it provides the "GrovePi +" hat to connect up to 15 sensors (and I am using most of them in a project),

hope you guys have future agreements with Dexter Industries and launch another compatible Grove hat Wink

If you are early bird, the 2GB board will be available on February 2016. If not, will be on March 2016.

You might use any SDIO 2.0/3.0 compliant (it's an SBC, you can attach what you want -- everything depends only on software).

The rtl8723bs used on the official add-on is not the worst choice. It's used on other SBCs as well and the driver for the H5 protocol (which was included with kernel 3.12) is already backported by Allwinner (even for the older kernel 3.4 it's available).

Yes, it will

The GPRS for data only is possible. However, GPRS chip is big, we will place at Pi or Euler bus connector, instead of Wifi/BT connector.
