I'm using an iPad 3's "power brick" (rated output: 5V 2.1A) with a Blackberry's USB cable to power my Pine.

Power consumption (the max I saw so far is ~0.8A, just plain running, without any load / add-ons):

Mine right now using stress is puilling .77 to .80A @ 5.13v

stress -m 2 -c 2

Of course mine is probably throttling due to no heatsink yet.

Enabling Monitoring is pretty easy and longsleep provides also the convenient pine64_health.sh most probably no one is able to use since only the wrong OS images are featured. And unfortunately measuring on the wrong side of the 'power cable' does not reveal how bad crappy USB cables behave: http://goughlui.com/2014/10/01/usb-cable...ging-slow/
