RemixOS - slow download speed in OS

Anyone else experiencing a slow download speed within RemixOS... app store, chrome etc?  Connection is wide open at 50/5mb and just updating within the google app store, hardwired look to be going barely above 100k/sec.

I assume you are using Phoenixcard to program the Remix image. In general, the first time boot up is slow and also navigation can be sluggish due to a lot of background installation process still executing. Once settle for about 15 minutes and reboot again, the second boot up will have better experience.

No. I've had the system running for a few days. Download speeds are horrible. The system lags a little when using chrome as well.

I did use Phoenixcard to load the image to the MicroSD card however.

It's not about 'board', it's about 'card'. You might get the idea what the root cause of this so well known issue is if you enter the term 'fsync' into the upper right search field.

In short: replace your SD card with at least a 32GB Samsung EVO and you're done since this cures one well known Android problem related to insufficient/slow random writes. The other root cause for slow networking on GbE equipped Pine64+ is still being investigated.

I'm also experiencing incredibly slow download speeds with Ethernet on my 2GB board with Remix OS, taken me 10 mins to download a 2 mb file. I've tested WiFi module, downloads very fast. I used the DD Image.

Using a 32gb Samsung EVO card. So like I said, I've got a 1gb board that is exhibiting similar behavior to the 2gb board. 

Please stop assuming details when you don't have them.

mkyb14, you use 1Gb ethernet connection. Switch your router to 100Mbit and all will be ok.
