After upgrade on 08.03.24 GUI doesn't start

Hello,

yesterday I upgraded my Pinetab2 with Danctnix Arch Linix via

# pacman -Syu

It failed to resolve some dependencies for replacing kdehelper package, so I didn't upgrade them. The upgrade run without further problems, but after the next boot Plasma does not start anymore. It simply boots until Plasma should start, then only one underscore ("_") is seen on the black screen.

Looks like the upgrade broke something in Plasma...

Is there a way to change to another tty so that I can try to upgrade again or to read some error messages directly on the Pinetab2? Or has anyobdy experienced the same and knows how to solve it?

I bought an USB-3 cable and connected my latop using the instructions from here: https://pine64.org/documentation/PineTab...T_adapter/

Then I did another upgrade, which ran without dependency errors and after a reboot the GUI was back again. Plasma was upgraded to Plasma 6, so it seems this was broken, someway.

The only issue I got now is that the display is always rotated to the left (again), even though these settings are there:

shows no "Goodix Capacitive TouchScreen" anymore and if I run the Xsetup script manually it complains

"WARNING: running xinput against an Xwayland server. See the xinput man page for details.
unable to find device pointer:Goodix Capacitive TouchScreen"

Has there something changed in Plamsa 6 regarding this?

The rotation error is a known bug in the new Plasma 6. In the meantime you can set the rotation manually in the settings. You can't use xinput as it is for X11.
