Root login is typically disabled in Arch (and discouraged), see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/securit...cting_root.
The login with your regular user should work, however if it doesn't I would just reflash the factory firmware, https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PineTab2#Software
