SIM not recognized
#1
Hi,

I'm trying to get a PinePhone to work in the Netherlands (I tried KPN as well as Vodafone network), but none of the SIM cards I tried are detected by the phone.
The GUI says "No SIM" and `mmcli -m 0` says:
Code:
Status   |                   state: failed
         |           failed reason: sim-missing
         |             power state: on
         |          signal quality: 0% (cached)
I tried 3 SIM-cards so far with slightly different looks, but no success so far.
I tried Manjaro as well as postmarket phosh, but I don't think that should make any difference.

Is there something I'm missing?

If I remember correctly, the MicroSD card slot is above the SIM slot. So perhaps you are putting the SIM in the MicroSD card slot. Just a thought.

Disclaimer, I don't own a PinePhone and could be totally wrong :-).

I fixed it.

It's not my phone and the owner damaged the sim pins by removing the adapter card...
I bent the pins back and suddenly it worked Smile
