Is it possible to use a USB DAC or soundcard with the Pine Phone?

Yeah. I am on Mobian and it worked fine when I tested on my amp which has an ESS Sabre ES9010K2M. I didn't try some of the higher sample rates. Just 44.1 since I didn't want to mess with the pulse / Alsa configs for basic testing.
I plugged it into the dock first since it's USB-C and my amp is USB-B. I did not have a USB-C to B cable on hand.
You might have to select the sound device in the Gnome settings but after that it automatically switches when plugged in. Typical Pulse behavior.
