USB dock - ethernet access
#1
Hey there,
got my Pinephone with KDE today and I managed to get a lot of stuff working so far reading through the forum. Now I have come across some issues with the dock. I don't need to set it up for desktop use but I wanna use the ethernet port because I don't have WLAN access in my flat.

Out of the box it did not work at all. The phone did not show up in my router and I got no access to the internet. After I updated the packages I get it to connect to the wired LAN and it even shows up in my router but the connection is dropped a few seconds later. Is there any known solution to this ? I am not even sure if it is the phone because I also happened to get a new router just yesterday and it had some issues with my desktop Manjaro OS.
I also read about connecting the dock to a power source or not. Is there something I am missing with the dock ?

Cheers

Ok, issue is gone after I installed the new Manjaro Phosh release. I guess it was caused by KDE mobile. For future posts, is there some way to edit your posts ?

Hi,

Glad your issue is solved. I had to run the scripts manually to reconnect to the internet. Ethernet wasn't working on the USB-C dock. I asked on the official Manjaro support
website.
