phone doesn't begin charging until awoken

If you plug in the Pinephone while in deep sleep it doesn't recognize that it's plugged in and continues discharging.

I keep forgetting this, leave the phone charging for hours and come back to a still almost dead battery.

I've reenabled RTC wake in my xinitrc to see if it'll help, but I don't like leaving it enabled as it causes unnecessary battery drain.

enabling RTC wake does indeed alleviate the problem, but at a considerable hit to battery life, even at a 15 minute interval.

i was pleasantly surprised to find that when I plugged in my PP last night, it flashed like an rtc wake and was charged this morning
