anyone notice that scale-to-fit works on some apps, but not others?

I'm wondering why this is. My suspicion is that it's tied to whether or not the app is looking for wayland vs x, but I don't know. any ideas or help?

That was 'stated' when they released the scaling a while back, you only turn it on 'where it works'
