Just wanted to confirm this aftermarket Samsung J7 Battery is a suitable "spare" battery for Pine Phone Pro (PPP) ?
https://www.ifixit.com/products/galaxy-j...nt-battery
Are there any known plans for Pine64 to ship "spare" batteries alone in the future or is it simply not worthwhile / economical ?
Seems unfortunate that we can get every other spare from the Pine64 store for PPP's except batteries ? (Appreciating the Lithium shipping difficulties)
I realize "normal" phones used for daily driving should be slim and light. I am happy to sacrifice for something bulkier that can still be fitted into a trouser or large shirt pocket that runs the POWA of Open Source Linux More along the lines of the "Old Skool" PDA's (Where the Pine Keyboard headed of course)
I've grabbed a Pine Phone Keyboard with a view to using that so I can daily drive the PPP. Various Reviews describe "mixed" results especially noting the Phone USB C Port being unusable due to the Loop back Charging fault. Is there any news on a future hardware revision / keyboard update to resolve this fault ?
Purely as feedback in real life usage I've really only bought the keyboard for the 6000 mAh battery. No disrespect to all that brought this wonderful keyboard and battery to life. I do find it as a keyboard to be very clunky in daily usage. Noting there are so many suitable, accessible and in-expensive self powered Bluetooth options out there that I find much more usable and closer to a full "featured" touch typing keyboard. (Well as best as can be in a folding style !)
e.g. something like
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07...UTF8&psc=1
Is it not worth developing a factory Pine64 extended life battery back and molded cover similar to a few of the projects posted on these forums ?
(Otherwise time to assemble my 3D Printer currently in it's box !)
Noting the on average 4 hours Battery time I'm getting out of the Factory on board 3000 mAh PPP Battery using default Mobian. Just wondering what any PhinePhonePro daily drivers / "warriors" are using for real world extended battery life currently ?
I see reference in the custom batteries post for PhinePhonePro to the Samsung S20 Ultra Battery as well. Wondering If anyone has supplier links that might be suitable for Australia at all ? Most comments are for US, European or Asia sources which can be a problem when shipping Lithium products to Australia.
I'm searching for and testing some suitable extended battery life (Accessible) battery options suitable for the PPP in Australia and will post results as I have them.
Any assistance gratefully appreciated in advance
