I tried to understand the schematic.

It looks like VDD is only powering :
- the Accelerometer
- the Heart Rate sensor

That would then make sense to be able to completely take them out. 
Accelerometer is rated 13 μA when off.
Heart Rate sensor max 0.1uA when sleeping.

That is still something useful if we want to get extra long battery life.


But I don't know how the Mofset is working (electrically speaking). What happens when P24 goes HIGH or LOW ?
