Thans for bringing this up. I feel exactly the same. Personally, I justified buying a Pinebook Pro neverthelesss by the fact that the open nature makes it hopefully a longer lasting device than many others. I also love the idea of upgrading your gear with a new MB and reusing screen and shell. Same for Pinephone. Still, fair workethics and ressources would be the icing on the cake.
