This was what I tried to do, and it seems to work fine more or less. Would you know how to set the energy full design in /sys/class/power_supply/axp20x-battery/energy_full_design? I get warnings in the kernel because this is not set ("axp20x-battery: driver failed to report `energy_full_design' property: -22") and I can't use udev to warn me when my battery is low. How do I set this? The obvious way of echoing the energy value into the /sys file doesn't work. I'm using Panasonic NCR18650B cells with a nominal capacity of 3350 mAh at 3.6 V each, so with three cells that's a total of 10050 mAh or 36.18 Wh.

Fortunately I don't think I'd need to adjust the charging current as it generally runs below 1000 mA (333 mA per cell) , well below the per-cell typical charge current of 1625 mA according to NCR1650B datasheet. It may take a lot longer to charge fully but I suppose that's alright. I doubt that the AXP803 can handle the nominal charge current of about 5000 mA.
