Well, I follow the problem since the start since I'm concerned as well and finally created an account to reply.
I didn't notice the problem to pine feedback but i haven't received a response yet.
My case :
Started on the 3/4top left side,
The left side of the screen did stop responding as well like someone else side
Now the whole contour is done, the right side of the screen is still working.
A second contour inside the first started appearing, I will see what happened, it doesn't seems to spread too much
I did not use the thermal setting even if i saw it
My observation :
Someone talked about the humidity possibly having an impact. I don't think it does I live in a dry place and it happened the same.
The spread was when the phone got hot, or hotter. Mine is most of the time at a relatively high temperature, serving as a hotspot, i use it daily as a hotspot with a noticeable hot feeling to touch. However, using it as a hotspot wasn't increasing the spread significantly. The few time were i noticed a significant increase in the spread, where when the phone was in my pocket while driving and got very hot. When it stayed as a hotspot on the sun. When he stayed as a hotspot under a pile of cloth.
The left side not working might be unrelated, i was the only with the symptome at first but since someone else had the same maybe. The side not working started at the very beginning and did not happened on the right with the spread. So I don't feel like it is the normal continuation of the symptom.
