It seems like it is the flex cable next to the headphone jack that is the touch panel controller. I will make another attempt at reseating the cable but otherwise it likely got damaged during the first swap.
Pine64 sells replacements but I'm not sure it will be worth it with the import taxes unless the also start selling spare parts from there EU warehouse.
