SXMO - Pretty smooth. Already using it as daily driver.
-- Battery lasts for 7 hrs with new screenlock dev code
-- New UI changes are pretty cool ( no need to worry about buttons wearing out)
-- Rear and front camera works
-- latest app menu supports many applications
-- surf which is lightweight is good for browsing
-- foxtrotgps for navigation
-- youtube video and audio via mpv
-- calls and sms work (customized the code to use AT commands to make this work)
sxmo_devel has all these improvements from previous release
Thanks to all the developers involved.
I have also tried other os - UB,mobian, arch and manjaro
Glad you mentioned this! I have almost tried this OS in the past as love the idea of the option of a very minimal OS/UI for PP.
Have almost given up trying to get my EC25 to function on my BH - can't hurt to give this a try and see if it shakes something out of the bushes.
Question: Is the following link the proper place to find the latest SXMO image. Any idea when a new build will be available?
http://images.lrdu dot org/pinephone/
I ask because the last image seems dated 7/26/2020.
Also any recommendations for good guidance and tutorials for installation and successful usage?
I am familiar with this thread: https://forum.pine64 dot org/showthread.php?tid=9913&highlight=sxmo
