Don't vi on me and tell me it's raining! Where's pico?

Have any of you fine folks gotten Emacs working on the Pinebook Pro? The terminal version works fine, but the GUI one crashes for me on startup.

I'm very disappointed right now, as this is half of the reason I wanted to use this laptop [to run the Emacs "Operating System" ]
