I was trying to put together a self contained kodi box (pine NAS box 
) with three internal hard drives and I am having a hell of a time with it. LibreELEC is a no go because libreelec do not support the PCIe or wireless mod. I thought the ubuntu 18.04 minimal might be the way to go because I could build kodi on top of it but that did not work due to missing dependencies that would not install. I had the same thing happen in mate and armbian. Are there any of the current Linux builds for rockpro64 that will support kodi? Would Manjaro work? Debian? Am I out of luck right now with the development in its early stages?
