Having the same issues with my 2gb board. I am using the original Remix OS burned with Phoenixcard. Ethernet connection causes a reboot loop but the system is stable when the ethernet cable is disconnected. The android OS also loads fine but the ethernet connection does not work. I think you may be right that this is an issue with the gigabit connection. Unfortunately I dont have a wifi adapter to try and connect that way.
