I have hdmi sound, too, but I think there are problems to get it via 3.5mm jack..
I haven't tried yet, to debug it..
The Above one, works ok, with emmc conector,hdmi
I haven't tried pcie 2.1,usb-c conector, or camera/dedicated display conectors..
