Ok I got this kinda-sorta working by creating:
and adding my device
And then
but the ssh is still laggy, its nowhere near as responsive as with the drive in the USB2 port
EDIT: No this isnt resolved after about 20 minutes ssh was unable to connect, when I logged in locally there was no connection on the wifi at all.

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/rk3328-usb-storage-quirks.conf
