I have in my kids room a raspberry pi 3 (old one connected by the slow wifi) that works wonders with youtube with raspbian at 1080p...if you dont know the specs its 1gb ram and 1,2ghz processor...so even a 1gb rock have more than enough power to watch youtube videos...at least the hardware is enough, if you know what i mean...(iirc raspbian have chromium by default)

if you have the ability, a video camera of some sort, and the time i would certainly like to see a video of this pi3 working wonders with youtube .
