1.add the extension and use an additionally device like this conected with optical cable.
2.use this device and transmit the audio via HDMI and after to the speakers.
Is it feasible? If yes which will be better?
1. ROCK64 STEREO AUDIO board Don't know support from RKMC / LibreElec playback yet .
Just know ROCK64 STEREO AUDIO board support Volumio now.
Update : Rock64 STEREO AUDIO board only work STEREO (2.0) by ES9023p , don't thinking about this , you will waste your time and money
2. HDMI To RCA 5.1 box
Rock64 is hdmi 2.0a output
Have you know this HDMI To RCA 5.1 box not is a HDMI 2.0a input /output ?
This box is HDMI Input Resolution: Up to 3840x2160@30Hz;4096x2160@30Hz.
If you buy it , maybe you will downgrade output HDMI 1.4a to 5.1 RCA , can't read hdmi 4k 60Hz output , but ROCK64 can playback 4k 60hz HDR10/HLG video file from 1080p 60Hz TV / 4K 30Hz TV.
And don't worry this box is work , because i used HDMI to SPIDF box (Dolby, DTS or AC3 pass trough) .
You need to go Android or RKMC setting output sound from hdmi is work.
You need to go Android setting output display hdmi resolution 1920x1080 60hz / 3840x2160 30Hz
* Note * (You need to two hdmi cable )
If I am wrong please correct my content , thank !
1. Use Pine64 Running Ubuntu 16.04 Web Server ( LAMP )
2. Use Pine64 Running Official Android 6 for Media player
3. Use Pine64 Running Volumio Digital Audio Player
