I've got the jumper on my board set to DC 5v (pins 1&2) and if I try to back power it via the Pi-2 headers the Pine's power regulator gets *really hot* and after a few minutes the power to the CPU get's flakey and the CPU halts. Now, move the same power source over to the Euler bus and all works perfectly. I'm not using a battery on this system at all, so that's not part of the equation.
Interesting note, my power source utilizes a supervisory circuit to switch on the power going to the Pine and on the Pi-2 bus it senses something of a short and wont turn on. I can force it on, which is what I did to find that the Pine does not agree with the Pi-2 bus as power input.
