And how to flash the emmc ?
I have a similar problem (I forgot the password for the OS, also I thought that I installed it on the SD card but apparently I actually installed it on the emmc).
The "getting started" says how to reflash the removable emmc, but I don't know if that's the same thing than how to flash the emmc that comes with the Pinephone (I don't believe it's removable).
Edit : sorry, there's a further section in "getting started" about flashing the Integral emmc.
But they only say how to install another OS on it, what I want is to boot from the SD card (so I can test different OSes).
