Due to geographical location, I got a Samsung J7 battery off of Taobao. Just as you described, it must be about half a millimeter too long, but the result is too narrow a fit, and I also ended up needing to wedge a knife in to pull the battery out, because nails were not enough. I will keep using the regular Pinephone's battery as spare when needed.
