This may be a simple solution but it took me a little while to figure this out maybe this is not your problem but its worth a shot.
Randomly when I call or pick up calls the volume defaults to zero so the person on the other end can you hear you but you cant hear them and it took me a while to figure this out as it can change from one call to the next without a reboot. Try turning the volume up right away and see if that helps
