Ascendia Post halted service

I had an email this morning  to say that Ascendia Post as halted service and would I like to upgrade to DHL?

Has anyone else heard or know about this?

I've been hoping for an "option" to upgrade to DHL myself.   However,  I have not received the message you describe as of yet.

If it's about https://www.asendia.com/ then I don't see such statement on their site.

I got the same email. It reads as follows:


Quote:Dear PineTab Patron,

We would like to inform you due to Asendia Post has halted service, may we know would you like to pay additional shipping cost $4 upgrade to DHL Express shipping?

I'd like to assume it's legitimate, but the lack of mention on https://www.pine64.org/shipping/https://www.pine64.org/blog/https://twitter.com/thepine64/with_replies, https://fosstodon.org/@PINE64, etc, not to mention the very poor English, has me skeptical . . .

Unfortunately, I don't think poor English can be an immediate disqualifier. IIRC much of the support team is based in China (mainland or HK.) I have received a few emails from Pine in the past where the English was not the clearest.

@Luke, I know you're on holiday, but do you have any insight? Deadline's not far for these patrons, if this is legit. Or, perhaps @tllim would know?

Regarding the Pinetab shipping, when the promotion starts, Pine Store assumes Asendia able to resume operation but until now we knows their operation still halt. There are few PineTab shipping cases that new shipping company (4px) not able reach using normal shipping and logistic team send out email to advise for upgrade to DHL.

When I placed my order I intended to select DHL but that selection got lost. When I enquired about changing shipping the only solution offered was to cancel and reorder unfortunately the PineTab preorder was sold out. Is it possible (especially with the political situation at USPS) to change my shipping selection?
