Serial console
#1
Hello,

I'd like to report that H64 Model B pins theoretically responsible for TTL console (6, 8, 10) don't send any expected signal. I tested it on a few copys of the device and on every is the same. I also checked an adapter on Rock64 and there everything is fine, so it's H64 problem.
The listening during SBC launch is set to 1.5 Mbps (same as in Rock64 case), an oscilloscope detecting only simple periodic '1' signal on TX.

Thanks for help and best regards!

No ! H64 initial baudrate is 115200 ...

Thanks, valuable note but if I remember it also was tested on 115200. By the way it doesn't describe oscilloscope measurement.

I have the same problem - but I had assumed that the H64 was using UART0 on the 6 pin EXT pin block (2,4,6).  If indeed we should be using UART1 like on the rock64's, I haven't been able to get those to work either:

I'm pretty sure the last time I booted my board I used the UART on the EXT header. What image are you booting?
Come have a chat in the Pine IRC channel >>

I am booting armbian bionic (https://www.armbian.com/pine-h64/)  from SD.  But my interest in the serial console is that I am trying to get the image onto an emmc card.  I have been able to write the image onto the emmc, but it never boots.  I would love to be able to see what it is/isn't doing on boot.

Just tried it again from home and success.  The missing bit of the equation for me was that it is 115200 not 1.5m  Thanks.

Now I just need to get this card written in such a way that it boots!
