LED's but no display
#1
Just picked up my Rock64-4GB from the mailbox and proceeded to boot up the latest Android OS.

When I plug it in, only the 2+1 LED lights come on and the display is dark.

The monitor(s) and television all do not detect a signal from the HDMI port of the unit.

Not much to the installation and cannot do too much without a display.

Is there a fix or is the board DOA?  Confused

first boot usually takes 10-15min

What power supply is used ?

Already tried another OS or version ?

The power supply is the one bought with the board as well as the emmc card.

I have not done anything with this card yet. I flashed a microSD card with the Android OS for SD boot

I do have a Raspberry Pi board and followed similar procedures.

My real question is, should there be a video output before 10-15 minutes.
All the 1080p monitors I have tried do not detect any output.
All they display is "no signal".

I will try again this morning and leave it plugged up for 30 minutes to see if there is any change.

Purchased items:
ROCK64 / PINEBOOK 5V 3A SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY
Power Supply: US
32GB eMMC
ROCK64 MEDIA BOARD COMPUTER
DRAM: 4GB

eMMC not part of initial attempt to boot.
flashed Android OS with Etcher to Sandisk 32GB microSD card. Same style card works flawlessly on RPi3.

Retried this am and at this posting the unit has been connected for 15+ minutes without showing any signs of activity from the LED's or screen.

Not quite a rookie at troubleshooting, but I would think there should be at worse some video display, correct? I didn't plan on running this "headless", but would I not have to set it up with a display?

If there is any change to my display, I will certainly reply with the results.

Thank you

The unzipping was issue... installed and used 7zip then Etcher and it works fine.

Thank you..... software/operator error.
