I have a working install using the pine64 touch screen monitor. I was thinking I might want to use the HDMI output as an occasional option. However if I disconnect the touchscreen I get no signal out on HDMI. It will send a signal with screen connected but only a partial screen. Been a while since I did the install and for personal reason had to shelf working on the project. Does the install only work with the touch screen? Would I need another install to functionally use the HDMI.
Thanks
If ur r using Android
To have booth screens active led and hdmi u need to set in the uEnv file
Lcd on
If u want only hdmi u have to disable Lcd
If u r using Linux
There's no way to use booth at the same time at the moment

Int he ayufan thread of android 7
There's some information about how to edit configurations
The uEnv.txt file is located in the boot partition of th sdcard
Is the portion that shows up when u plug the SD on your pc
U can edit that file
In the latest version 1.8
In the file itself there's the information u need to set your configuration
Just uncomment the line that u want to use or comment it to disable
U comment by adding
# in front of the line u want to use
And uncomment by deleting it

In the newer version of Android there's root acces to apps so u can use any file editor to mod the file form the system
Just go to the root folder of the system and then go to the boot directory
PDT:
If u want to. Use the hdmi and Lcd at the same time u need to start it without the hdmi cable
Attach it after boot

I can open several volumes on my linux laptop. Doing a search for uEnv.txt returns no results. Searching root file within Android OS also return no Boot directory and no uEnv.txt file
Please give full directory path to file such as /dev/boot/uEnv.txt
Using Android 5.1.1 LCD installed
There's no so much flexibility
On that version
Cuz I thought u were talking about the nougat version
Download that one there's more setting to play with and now we have root acces to apps as well
Check the Android 7 thread
