App launcher shows tiny icons and black icon buttons

Any ideas?  The main buttons in the launcher though they have a black button...their icons are big enough to recognize.
When you click the grid to see all the apps...the icons on the buttons are tiny.

Reboot threw me into dark mode...then I could read the text but icons still small.

I might've fixed this with https://github.com/G-dH/vertical-workspa...stallation

Might have lost some contrast on the shell menu, but the grid is configuratble

Thanks vlagged! That extension actually did the trick. You're right about the contrast on the shell menu, but at least the icons in the grid are usable now. Appreciate the link!
