Current status of pinenote development

Could someone who is able to follow discussions on the discord thread for pinenote summarize the current status of progress?

While I am aware of the wiki pages for the pinenote, i'm unsure if they properly reflect the current status of developments.

So a short summary by someone acquainted with the current proceedings would be very appreciated.

Got to admit, the news is spotty.  I am sure the development is slow and quite exhausting.

There is some news on the newsletter.  It sounds like an awful lot of work, but not enough folks working on it.
