Back at 1.5 A... The magic is still on.
EDIT: The magic might be disenchanted. Using the wireless charger to start the phone increases the charging power to the max. Removing the phone and re-placing it on the charger switches the amperage to 0.5... This behaviour is reproducible. But don't ask me why!
This could be a general charging issue or maybe it's related. I often have similar problems with the regular charging method where the phone only charges with 0.5 A (on Manjaro unstable). Replugging the cable doesn't help in these cases and neither does rebooting the phone with the charger plugged in. What always works to enable 1.5 A charging though is to shut down the phone and then start it up by plugging in the charger.
