SSH over USB

Is it possible to ssh over USB? I found this very useful with the remarkable 2 since it avoids having to deal with dynamic IP addresses etc. and you can use tools like rsync which don't seem to play nicely with a USB storage mounting.

IP over USB should be possible, or is there some limitation in the PineNote's hardware that prevents it? (I know that other PINE64 devices support it just fine.) So, then, everything that works over TCP/IP, including SSH, should work.
