Fast-forward to 2024 and some progress has been made with the Pine64 board. Lakka runs ok.
If anybody is still interested I have got retropie running on my Pine64+ 1GB by installing it on top of armbian minimal (I'm just winging it Big Grin ). Have only tested it with nintendo consoles up to N64 and all work fine.
