I am trying to get wifi and ssh working on the image without needing to interact with the phone itself to do it.
Is it possible to pre-configure wifi and ssh with pmbootstrap?

last time I tried it (March?) pmbootstrap installed sshd by default for the pinephone, and prompted for adding the public key on the machine you were running it from to the image's authorized_keys. After running pmbootstrap you can always mount the target device partition(s) to make any further changes needed.
WiFi may depend on the desktop you're selecting, so you'll have to check where the one you're using puts config files. /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ is probably most likely.

After installing using pmbootstrap I've been able to connect to the phone via usb networking. Once connected via ssh you can use the command nmtui-connect to connect to a wifi. |
