Have you even slipped in a sd card with an OS image to check if it will even boot?
Phone has been working fine since I wrote an OS to the eMMC.

If anyone with a phone from the batch that shipped on 12/14 have the same problem, I can confirm the issue with my phone as described above was caused by no OS being present on the eMMC. When I inserted a microsd card with a bootable image the phone booted and charged correctly.
Just thought I'd note for QC purposes that mine is from the same batch (got it 2 days ago), and mine was fine, Manjaro was indeed loaded on the eMMC. Glad that that was the only problem with yours.

powered up on connecting to USB C... pretty fast boot to screen after some options...
Now starts my journey into linux phones after 10years on Linux x86 archetecture...

Terminal with physical keyboards on a phone
sudo pacman Syu doesnot work by default, db.lck file needed to be deleted from /var/cache...Package manager was running in the background... don't know why?
Sync & upgraded to latest manjaro(no change in Kernel) wifidrivers changed
2G/3G voice call working well,
SMS works (alert/notification not available on deep sleep) - works after restart
WiFi works well - autoconfigured networks, Bluetooth works
HDMI, keyboard, mouse - works with the convergence kit - unable to shift apps like firefox to secondary display(will play with xrandr & update later)
Firefox default,Youtube audio/video works well
Had one crash when trying to get app to shift to secondary display some xrandr problem? could not replicate...
about 1hour of testing...battery goes down very fast 96% to 26% (Wifi + Bluetooth ON for the entire duration & screen brightness at 25% and ext screen 1080p Waveshare display connected via HDMI...
further testing moved to other thread...

I realize this is a patient community, but one great way to lose interest/momentum for something is to have to wait 2 months from when you place the order to when you receive it. I ordered the Manjaro CE pinephone on 11/18.....today is 1/12...still waiting. Unbelievable considering you can order things and have them delivered to your home in the same day. It shipped from HK on 12/14 and arrived at Chicago O'Hare on 12/28. I'm thinking....great....I live in the Kansas City metro areas....maybe 7-10 days to arrive.....nope....1/12 and it is still bouncing around the KC metro area....Stilwell, Lenexa, Kansas City...just bouncing around. Talk about inefficiency. Should have paid for premium delivery...what a joke. Well, hopefully I'm impressed in the next week or so whenever USPS decides it's time to deliver it to me because waiting two months puts a damper on the excitement level. Disappointing & frustrating. Anybody considering ordering a pinephone....don't even consider normal shipping...pay for the expedited.

The only time I had something like this was when I ordered cheese from Europe (they have delicious cheese), it took them 2 months to deliver.
So I had to throw it all away at the time it got delivered.
I asked the European post company, they told me to ask the Japanese post company, because it already arrived in Japan.
I asked them, they said they didn't receive anything from the Europeans.
I asked the Europeans again, and of course they were using this convenient "one size fits all" excuse called "because of corona...".
2 months later, it arrived.
Not delivered by the Japanese company they told me to ask, but a German company (DHL).
I was just as pissed off as you were about delivery service.

You probably should of paid the $10 extra for DHL and gotten it within a week after it shipped.

Contacted DHL , they have reported to me a problem with battery packaging , something about a label . They don't know anything about coronavirus lockdown . Decreased volume for shipping but still ongoing shipment in and out of country .
